Claro series support PCM (digital
2ch) input monitoring.
The driver of Claro series support “high quality path”
feature. The S/PDIF input signal doesn’t pass to Windows Kernel Mixer when
you use digital input monitoring. Therefore, user can’t control volume level by software mixer. This is a necessary feature to user who want to hear high
quality audio. The audio streaming from digital input will pass-thru to DAC
directly with original state without any effects.
By the way, if you use Windows7, you can
control S/PDIF input volume level.
1. Select S/PDIF in. And do not select monitoring button.

2. Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound >
Recording Tab.

And checked SPDIF In is selected Default Device and click
Properties.
3. SPDIF In Properties > Listen Tab.

And please check “Listen to this device” and Playback through
this device to Speakers (HTO CLARO)
Then you can adjust S/PDIF input signal by “Speakers” mixer
or S/PDIF input mixer.
